Trip Leader/ River Manager

Primary responsibilities would be to achieve good communication throughout the company and safely manage daily operations.
Job Description
- Co - Manage river staff.
- Address all safety concerns
- Train and monitor daily staff (up to 20)
- Ensure quality river experience and safe operations
- Organize, hire and maintain staff schedules
- Arrange daily river schedules and guide staff for all tours
- Work in conjunction with office manager to ensure all river staff and drivers are scheduled daily
- Ensure optimum customer care and service
- Coordinate and organize daily logistics
- Ensure all staff are aware of their daily responsibilities
- Liase with other rafting companies and tour leaders at rivers
- Previous management or supervisory experience with Canadian Rockies preferred
- Advanced first aid certification preferred (40 hour plus)
- Current CPR
- Experienced in Whitewater
- 3-5 years river experience
- Swiftwater rescue certified
- Trip Leader Guide Certification to Grade 4 in Alberta or equivalent
- Technical Training an asset
It is important for the River manager to be perceptive and see the big operating picture to ensure the company runs efficiently and safely.
